Chris Tierney is the controller at Software AG Government Solutions. In this role, he has the day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Chris previously was director of finance and controlling at Software AG USA, where he was responsible for the North American professional services business.
Chris has 19 years of finance experience working for public and private companies that are both domestic and international. His expertise spans financial planning and analysis, controlling, finance operations, contract negotiations, business operations, compensation planning, and system and process implementations.
Before Software AG, Chris was a senior manager at WorldCom Inc., where he joined after an acquisition of MCI. In his more than eight years there, Chris was responsible for financial planning and analysis, pricing and marketing analysis. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Connecticut College.
