Amy Farrant

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at Software AG Government Solutions, Amy Farrant is the SVP of Finance & Operations of the Americas at Software AG.

Amy has over 25 years of financial and financial operations experience. She joined Software AG in September 2012 and the Board of Directors of Software AG Government Solutions in April 2013.

Prior to Software AG, Amy served as the Chief Financial Officer at Optimized Systems & Solutions (OSyS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce). Prior to OSyS, Amy spent the previous 7 years in senior roles in various venture-backed software/technology companies. These companies varied in size and maturity from very early stage startups to companies making a fresh start with a new outside investment. Amy’s experience in her various roles included overall responsibility for all financial, commercial and general and administrative activities along with financial and operational elements of bringing new products to market, growth into international markets, transitioning from services centric to product centric portfolios and M&A.

From 1999 to 2004, Amy served as the VP Finance for Visual Networks, Inc, a Maryland based company traded on the NASDAQ. She was responsible for all financial activities plus SEC reporting, Wall Street and analyst reporting and Investor Relations.

Amy began her career as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche followed by Arthur Andersen where her clients were concentrated in emerging markets/growth segments, primarily in software and technology. During her tenure in public accounting, she worked on teams responsible for financial statement audits as well as M&A and initial or secondary public offerings.

Amy holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University and is a certified public accountant in Virginia.

Amy has two daughters, Jordan and Casey. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and activities with her girls. Amy currently lives in Ashburn, Virginia.
